Description.
The Ecler NIC-8 is a high-performance 2-way in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeaker designed to deliver powerful, clear sound in commercial installations. Featuring an 8-inch woofer and 1-inch dome tweeter, with 70W RMS power handling, it provides full, well-balanced audio with clear speech and excellent intelligibility.
Suitable for both 70/100V line systems and low-impedance installations, the NIC-8 offers flexibility when designing background music and public address systems.
It also features Ecler's Acoustic Resonator Technology (ART), which helps reduce low-frequency distortion and mechanical vibration. By limiting unwanted energy transfer to ceiling structures, ART helps minimise resonance and sound colouration, particularly in suspended and false ceilings, allowing the speaker to deliver cleaner, more controlled sound.
Installation is straightforward, with front-accessible Euroblock connections and power selection. This allows installers to adjust wiring and power taps even after the speaker has been fitted. Its IP66 rating provides protection against dust and powerful water jets, making it suitable for demanding environments where extra protection is needed.
The NIC-8 is finished with a magnetic, frameless grille and removable Ecler logo for a clean, discreet appearance. It's a practical choice for shops, restaurants, hotels, offices and other commercial spaces where strong audio performance, flexible installation and a neat finish are important.
Applications.
Retail // Corporate // Leisure // Sports & Wellness // Hospitality
When a commercial space needs fuller sound from a discreet ceiling speaker, we think the Ecler NIC-8 is well worth considering. Its 8-inch woofer gives it more scope to reproduce the lower frequencies, while the steerable tweeter helps keep speech clear and music well balanced across the room. We like the attention to installation details, too, including front-access connections and power selection, which can make fitting and maintenance much easier. Ecler’s ART technology is designed to improve bass performance while reducing unwanted vibrations through the ceiling, and the IP66 rating adds protection in more demanding environments. For larger shops, restaurants, offices and leisure spaces, it’s a capable speaker that combines performance with a clean, unobtrusive finish.
