In November 2024 Lancashire PA Hire were contracted to design and install an audio system for Real Food Hall project due to be opening in December on Manchester Road in Burnley.

The brief was to provide a system capable of multiple applications with even distributed audio around the venue for daytime use, with the option to have a DJ playing in the evenings at a higher volume. Further challenges were posed by the low ceiling height of the venue as well as some structural pillars which created obstacles for the optimal loudspeaker positioning.

Lancashire PA Hire's director Darryl Fraser opted for a distributed system using the high performance Ecler NIMBO-26 loudspeakers finished in gold. This along with their black grilles complimented the black and gold interior finishes perfectly. For low frequency reinforcement a pair of ARQIS SB15i subwoofers were installed.

With such a multipurpose system flexibility is required for the control and inputs. Therefore at the heart of the system is an Ecler MIMO-1212SG combined with a WPNET-TOUCH 10.1" touch screen control interface. This allows the staff at the venue to change music sources and volumes very simply. Amplification was handled by a pair of Ecler HADA-4B400 amplifiers.
