Description.
The Ecler BOB-04 is a compact four-channel Dante™/AES67 audio over IP breakout box designed to convert digital audio from an Ethernet network into four line-level analogue outputs. It provides a straightforward way to connect networked audio systems to analogue equipment such as amplifiers, mixers and other audio devices.
Ideal for professional commercial audio and AV installations, the BOB-04 helps integrate Dante™/AES67 audio networks with existing analogue sound systems. Its Power over Ethernet (PoE) support allows it to receive power directly from a compatible Ethernet switch, simplifying installation and reducing the need for additional cabling. An optional 24V DC power supply is available separately.
As a generic Dante™/AES67 interface, the Ecler BOB-04 audio breakout box can be used with EclerNet, EclerPLEX, VIDA and HALO products that support Dante, as well as compatible third-party Dante™/AES67 devices. It is not a native EclerNet or EclerPLEX guest unit, so it is intended for standard network audio integration rather than direct guest-unit operation within those platforms.

Not every installation needs a complicated solution, and that’s what appeals to us about the Ecler BOB-04. It gives you four analogue outputs from a Dante network in a compact box, making it a handy way to connect network audio to conventional amplifiers or other equipment. We also like that it supports PoE, helping keep cabling and power arrangements tidy. For us, it’s a good example of keeping things simple and choosing the right tool for the job, rather than making an audio system more complicated than it needs to be.
