Description.
The Ecler BIO-X8 is an analogue audio expansion interface designed to increase the capacity of an EclerPLEX digital audio matrix. Each unit adds eight analogue audio inputs and eight analogue audio outputs, giving system integrators greater flexibility when designing commercial audio systems and multi-zone AV installations.
Up to two BIO-X8 units can be connected to a single EclerPLEX Host matrix, expanding the system to support up to 24 analogue audio inputs and 24 analogue audio outputs, alongside up to 24 × 24 GPIO control capacity. This scalability makes it easier to adapt an installation to changing requirements without replacing the core matrix.
Ideal for conference facilities, corporate offices, education environments, hospitality venues and other commercial spaces, the Ecler BIO-X8 expansion interface provides additional audio connectivity for EclerPLEX systems, helping create flexible, scalable solutions for professional audio routing and integrated control.

We see the Ecler BIO-X8 as a useful way to build more flexibility into an EclerPLEX system without having to replace the main hardware as a project grows. It adds eight analogue inputs and eight outputs to a compatible VIVO host, giving you more options for connecting microphones, audio sources and other equipment. What we like is the modular approach: you can start with what the installation needs now and add another BIO-X8 later if more connections are required. For us, it’s a sensible bit of kit that makes system design more adaptable and helps avoid paying for capacity you don’t need straight away.
