Dirty Murphys is a new Irish underground bar in Newcastle, opening March 13, 2026, on Grainger Street (formerly The Mushroom site) near the Bigg Market. Created in collaboration with The Dog and Parrot, it features live music, sports, and a "coffin" for serving pints, focusing on a high-energy atmosphere for Paddy's weekend.

Newcastle based DACS Audio where tasked with providing an audio solution for the bar to cater to the wide range of music being played in the venue. With live music top of the agenda DACS opted for the Montarbo NETTUNO-50 system as a complete package for this. Featuring two NETTUNO-50 subs per side and one of the double 12" NETTUNO-50 tops per side, coverage across the space was excellent and more than ample headroom to deal with the high transients of live music reproduction.

Supplementing the NETTUNO-50 is a Montarbo MINIBO-50 5" self powered loudspeaker to provide fill for the side of the room. Additionally two of the newly released Montarbo NETTUNO-W12 wedge monitors were also provided.

The final touch was some UNiKA PRO Series DI boxes meaning that AUX Import were able to provide the full package to this grass roots venue.
